A Goblins’ Christmas Carol

A Goblins’ Christmas Carol is a musical adaptation of the original Dickens’ story, A Christmas Carol. It features twelve songs, with eight of them being original compositions. The cast consists of talented local performers. The production is directed by Stephen Fiol, the Dean Emeritus of the College of Fine Arts at Millikin University. Additionally, Ricardo Hererra, the chair of the Department of Voice at the University of Illinois, will make a cameo appearance in each show. The orchestra, known as The Graveyard Minstrels, includes Barbara Hedlund on cello, Sunny Choo on piano, and JiMung on violin.

Tickets are only $10 for all seats, all shows, and can be purchased at the door or online. The show was written and produced by the award-winning Champaign County native, Kenny Chumbley.

Urbana High School Drama Club/Thespian Troupe #161 is thrilled to announce the Fall 2023 production of Twelfth Night the musical. This adaptation, conceived and adapted by Kwame Kwei-Armah & Shaina Taub, features music and lyrics by Shaina Taub. The production has been approved by Concord Theatricals. Set in Illyria, the musical follows the journey of Viola, who is washed ashore after a shipwreck, and Olivia, who is grieving the loss of her brother. With singing, dancing, mistaken identity, and plenty of humor, the characters will navigate their way to love and connection.

Shows are Nov 9-11 at 7 PM and Nov 12 at 2 PM

Tickets are $10 general admission, $5 K-12 students

Some material may not be appropriate for younger audiences. Contains mild adult language.
