Fall may officially be a couple of weeks away, but the Fall festivals are here in Champaign County this weekend to usher in the new season. There’s fun for the whole family this weekend at these following events in Champaign County!
Champaign-Urbana Black & African Arts Festival

C-U Black & African Arts Festival mission is to expose and give a culturally diverse experience to the Champaign-Urbana and Central Illinois community by expressing both Black and African heritage. Mark your calendars for September 9 & 10, 2022 for this year’s event! This year’s 2-Day festivities will kick-off with The Soul Rebels at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, September 9th at 8:00 pm!
On September 10th, dive into more celebration with Live Performances, Vendors, Kids’s Corner, Food, Fun, and more from 9am – 5pm at Lincoln Square Mall.

Meadowbrook’s Wandell Sculpture Garden is a picturesque location for the most original jazz event in town! Enjoy live, local jazz music during this sunset event brought to you by the Urbana Park District, Clark-Lindsey, Health Alliance, and the Urbana Parks Foundation. A selection of jazz soloists and small combos will be scattered along the paths of Meadowbrook Park; you can listen to as many as you like as you walk at your own pace through the Garden. Parking is available at the Race Street entrance with overflow parking thanks to Stone Creek Church on the corner of Race Street and Windsor Road. Stop by the information table to make a donation towards the musicians. Call the Park District Rainout Line for postponement information: 217-367-9575.
