Do you find yourself wanting to get out of the house but feeling the guilt of leaving the dog at home by themselves?  You’re not alone!  And luckily, we have some wonderful options for taking our furry loved ones out with us when we’re looking to grab our morning coffee or enjoy your favorite band playing downtown.  Here are the favorite go-to dining options for dog owners:


Destihl – Champaign

Go for the extensive variety of craft beers and stay for the delish upscale bar food on their spacious patio.   

Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom – Champaign 

Classic Chicago-style pizza (hold the deep dish). 

San Maru – Champaign 

There are two outdoor tables available to enjoy this delish Korean restaurant so get there early!

Silvercreek Restaurant – Urbana

The large patio is open all day for delicious brunch through dinner. 

JT Walker's – Mahomet

A sports bar and brewery located in Mahomet that also has 4 designated tables outside for the pups and their families.  

Masijta Grill – Urbana

Another Korean gem that shouldn’t be passed up!

Crane Alley – Urbana 

Crane Alley boasts an impressive 19 beers on tap, so you’re sure to find the perfect match to go along with a heart meal.  Enjoy a night out on their seasonal outdoor patio. 

Niro's Gyros – Urbana 

Located just off of campus.  Take the pup for a walk and stop by their walk-up window to get your food to-go or to enjoy at one of their outside tables. 

Po' Boys - Urbana

Italian Beef and dog-friendly outdoor seating.  Need we say more?

Watson's Shack & Rail – Champaign

Enjoy a true southern comfort brunch or dinner at one of their 6 outdoor tables. 

Pizzeria Antica - Champaign 

Pizzeria Antica offers three outdoor tables where you and your pup can enjoy a taste of authentic Neapolitan pizza. 

Brixx Pizza – Champaign

Riggs Beer Company – Urbana 

Enjoy the beers made on-site while eating from one of the rotating seasonal food trucks!  There is no dining portion of the beer company but there is always a food truck on site.  

The Iron Post – Urbana 

With 10 outdoor tables and a consistent outdoor music lineup, the Iron Post will make for the perfect weekend date-night with the dog. 


Cafe Kopi – Champaign 

A classic staple in downtown Champaign.  Enjoy your morning coffee at one of their several outdoor tables. 

Aroma Cafe – Champaign 

A scenic café with 8 outdoor tables amongst a gorgeous garden. 

McAlister's Deli – Champaign

A delicious array of hand-crafted sandwiches made to order.  Keep in mind that you’ll want to have at least two humans for this trip due to not having table service (someone will have to wait outside with the pup!).

Strawberry Fields – Urbana 

This natural food market and café offers the perfect morning patio experience.  Grab a fresh pastry and coffee and enjoy your morning people watching in downtown Urbana. 

Common Ground Co-Op – Urbana  

A community owned grocery store and deli that offers fresh, homemade pizzas, salads and more.  They also specialize in vegan and gluten-free options.  Grab your perfect lunch and enjoy it on one of their outdoor tables. 


The end of summer often leaves us yearning to get out one last time before the temperatures start to and now you have the perfect excuse- quality time with the furriest and most loving member of the family!  You can bet that taking them out for a night on the town will make for a very happy pup.
