Champaign Community Unit School District No. 4 serves all of the children in Savoy.  There are a total of 10,179 students in the district as well as 13 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, and 2 high schools.  Rated as one of the top ten most diverse districts in the state and is the #2 district in Champaign county, the children are provided with ample opportunities and resources to help them succeed.  Also located in next door Champaign is The University of Illinois.  A part of the Big 10 conference, the university is often considered to be one of the top 50 public universities in the country.  It is most known for its engineering program and its correlating research.  There is also Parkland College, another college located in Champaign that enrolls about 18,000 students annually.

The two hospitals that cater to Savoy, located in the Champaign area, are Carle Foundation Hospital and OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center.  Both hospitals offer patients a state-of-the-art Emergency Room, birthing clinic, cancer center, and much more.  When needing to fly out of town, travelers can take advantage of the University of Illinois – Willard Airport, which flies to both O’Hare International and Dallas Fort – Worth.  From there, passengers can get anywhere in the world.  There is also an Amtrak station located in Champaign for those choosing not to travel by airplane.
