Starting this weekend, you can marvel at the work of amateur artists throughout our local area at the Champaign County Town & Country Amateur Art Show 2017. This great annual event allows nonprofessional artists throughout the state to showcase their creative, visual works of art.

The show for Champaign County will be held at the Springer Cultural Center located in downtown Champaign. It will be held March 18th through April 29th. Come marvel at art work in a variety of mediums, including digital media, drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, pottery, sculpting, and more.

There is a youth and adult division for the artists. There will be a public critique by the show's juror at 10:30 am on Saturday, April 29th, to conclude the art show. Blue Ribbon and Best of Show winners at the Champaign County show are eligible to enter the Illinois State Town & Country Amateur Art Show this upcoming fall.

Come support the incredible works by these talented, amateur artists of all ages and cheer on the winners who will be heading off to state to showcase their work to the rest of Illinois!
