Monticellobration FestiFall!!

Celebrate the beginning of the fall season in the beautiful community of Monticello! Come to downtown Monticello on Saturday, September 16th, from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm, for the Monticellobration FestiFall!!!

This favorite annual community festival is filled with fun for the whole family! Paint The Town on Washington Street with the Monticello Area Arts Council. Head to Independence Street for the SunDowners Car Club’s Car Show. See the adorable animals in the Pet Parade hosted by the Monticello Animal Shelter. Check out all the incredible vendors and kids activities around the square. Other great activities include Pony Rides and Horse & Buggy Rides, Joyful Bubbles creations, bounce houses, and so much more. After grabbing a bite to eat from one of the many delicious restaurants or food trucks on hand, walk around downtown to for the Scarecrow Walk and vote for your favorites!

There are endless delicious and unique restaurants, cafes, food trucks, and more located throughout the Champaign-Urbana metro area. Come celebrate our town's victory at the Greatest Midwest Food Town Celebration!!! Representatives from Midwest Living Magazine will be heading to town on Saturday, September 9th, from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm for a day filled with fun, food celebration. Fighting Illini Season Opener this Labor Day Weekend!

Celebrate Labor Day Weekend with the ultimate Champaign-Urbana tradition…...Fighting Illini Football! That’s right! The season opener is finally here! Our University of Illinois will kick off against Ball State on Saturday, September 2nd, at 2:30 pm in beautiful Memorial Stadium. Wear your best blue and orange and help cheer our boys onto victory!


Head to Grange Grove before the game for the ultimate tailgate party! Dine on delicious food that you create in your tailgate area or enjoy the numerous food trucks on site. Find fun games and activities in the family zone. Listen to live music by Andy Mo Band. Do not miss the Marching Illini pregame show and Fighting Illini Walk! It’s the perfect opportunity to show your team your support as they had into the stadium! The gates of Grange Grove open at 7:00 am for you to check out all the fun!  

 

Want to host your own Fighting Illini party at home? Gather all the Illini fans in your family and catch the game on BTN.

 

Saturday’s Fighting Illini season opener marks the 128th year of football at the University. We are incredibly proud of this tradition in our community.

Krazy Daze Festival & Carnival

Enjoy 3 days of family fun in charming downtown Homer. Throughout the weekend, there will be live music, a carnival, bounce house, food vendors, beer tent, and fun exciting contests, such as tug of war and water balloon tosses. Saturday is filled with extra special events, including a breakfast at the Methodist Church (7:30 am), parade (9:30 am), car show (10:00 am), and bags tournament (4:00 pm).
