This weekend is the 7th Annual CU Pride Festival! Come celebrate everyone in our community at this great event. Although the festivities will be going on all weekend long, Saturday, September 10th, offers a full day of fun, free activities for you, your family, and your friends! Be sure to head down to Downtown Champaign to join in on all the fun!

Visit the Fun and Vendor Area between noon and 6:00 pm on Saturday for tons of awesome activities, vendors, and live entertainment! In the Kid & Family Area, there will be carnival games, a bounce house, and a Touch A Truck area with 7 different cars and

trucks for the kids to explore. Your children will be able to meet their favorite characters, such as Elsa and Olaf, Cinderella, and Snow White, at the Character Corner. Catch a live musical performance by Chicago favorite Joel Frankel. As you roam the Kid & Family Area, keep a look out for the street performers who are there to provide further entertainment. Bubbles! Puppets! Stilt Walkers! This area of the festival will surely delight kids of all ages! The Vendor Area will feature over 30 different local vendors for you to buy merchandise, get more information, and learn about goods and services in the Champaign area. The Fun and Vendor area will be located in front of the Orpheum Science Museum.

Step away from this area for a little while during the afternoon to catch the Pride Parade as it dances its way through Downtown Champaign. The parade will begin at 3:00 pm on Saturday so be sure to scope out your spot along the route. Marvel at spectacular floats, see some great performers, and wave at all of the parade participants.

We look forward to seeing you this Saturday, September 10th, at the 7th Annual CU Pride Festival!
