Great Valentine's Day Events in Champaign/Urbana!

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching! The Champaign/Urbana  area has tons of great events planned for the holiday. Whether you are looking for a romantic date idea for you and your significant other or something fun for the whole family to do, there is an event for you in our area. Check out our recommendations for things to do this Valentine's Day!

 

Adult Events

Vengeful Valentines Murder Mystery Dinner

Dates: Friday, February 10th - Saturday, February 11th

Time: 7:00 pm - 11:00 am

Location: Allerton Park & Retreat Center (515 Old Timber Road, Monticello)

Cost: $220 - $240 per couple

For a truly unique Valentine’s Day experience, bring your sweetheart to an interactive murder mystery party. You will need to gather clues to find the suspect and solve the mystery! Dinner and a continental breakfast are included. Choose whether you would like to lodge in the Gate House, House in the Woods, Evergreen Lodge, or Mansion. Endless Love in the Afternoon

Date: Sunday, February 12th

Time: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Location: Spurlock Museum (600 South Gregory Street, Urbana)

Cost: FREE admission!

Celebrate love around the world with your significant other. Listen to multicultural love stories, admire love-related artifacts, and create a handmade card. There is a $2 charge per craft.


 

Casablanca Screening

Date: Tuesday, February 14th

Time: Check their website for showing times

Location: The Art Theatre Co-op (126 West Church Street, Champaign)

Cost: Check with theatre

See one of Hollywood’s greatest love stories on the big screen when The Art Theatre Co-op presents a special Valentine’s Day showing of Casablanca.


 

Failure: A Love Story

Dates: Wednesday, February 8th - Sunday, February 12th

Times: 7:30 pm (Wednesday-Saturday performances); 3:00 pm (Sunday performance)

Location: Krannert Center (500 South Goodwin Avenue, Urbana)

Cost: $25 per adult; $24 per senior; $15 per student; $10 per UI Student and youth

Take in a show during date night. The Krannert Center is putting on a spectacular performance about 3 sisters in 1920s Chicago. The show is filled with laughs and tears. Purchase tickets HERE.  

 

Family Events

Daddy Daughter Dance 2017: Under the Sea

Date: Friday, February 3rd

Time: 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Location: Hilton Garden Inn (1501 South Neil Street, Champaign)

Cost: $26 per person

Fathers and daughters will love a night of dancing, food, and fun at the Hilton Garden Inn. There will be a full dinner. All girls will receive a goodie bag. There are photo packages available for an extra fee. Dance the night away under the sea! Girls should be 12 and under and accompanied by an adult. Register HERE.


 

Kids Valentine & Chocolate Making Party

Date: Saturday, February 11th

Time: 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Location: Allerton Public Library District (4000 Green Apple Lane, Monticello)

Cost: FREE!

Kids will love making crafts and treats for someone special at this fun event. Call (217)762-4676 or info@monticellolibrary.org to reserve a spot.  


 

Valentine's Day Storytime

Date: Saturday, February 11th

Time: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Location: Barnes & Noble (65 East Market View Drive, Champaign)

Cost: FREE!
