New Year's Eve Events in Champaign/Urbana!

This Saturday marks the last day of 2016. Celebrate all that happened this past year and all you have to look forward to for 2017 this weekend. There are many incredible New Year's Eve events planned for December 31st throughout the Champaign-Urbana area. Check out these great events for you to enjoy with your family during the day or for an adult night out on the town.

Noon Year's Eve

Date: Saturday, December 31st

Time: 9:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Location: Children’s Discovery Museum (101 East Beaufort Street, Normal)

Cost: $2 per member, $9 per non-member

Your kids do not have to stay up until midnight to ring in the New Year! Head to the Children’s Discovery Museum for a special countdown to noon! There will be a confetti blast! Also, enjoy fun activities, arts and crafts, face painting, noise makers and more. Register HERE.

 

Party Like It’s 1900! New Year’s Day Noon Day Celebration!

Date: Saturday, December 31st

Time: 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

Location: Museum of the Grand Prairie (950 North Lombard Street, Mahomet)

Cost: FREE!

Learn all about the history of New Year’s Eve celebrations and traditions, such as resolutions, the story of Baby New Year and Father Time, and more. Party like it’s 1900 with music, snacks, games, and crafts popular at that time. There will also be a balloon drop at noon!

 

Noon Day Drop

Date: Saturday, December 31st

Time: 10:30 am - 1:00 pm  

Location: Orpheum Children’s Museum (346 North Neil Street, Champaign)

Cost: $6 per member, $8 per non-member, $28 for group of 4 people

Celebrate the New Year with your little ones at the Orpheum Children’s Museum. There will be crazy hats, arts and crafts, noise makers, and music. There will be a countdown to noon with a balloon drop!

 

New Year's Eve Countdown Party

Date: Saturday, December 31st

Time: 12:00 pm - 1:00 am

Location: Riggs Beer Company (1901 South High Cross Road, Urbana)

Cost: FREE!

Have a fun, unique New Year’s Eve celebration at Riggs Beer Company. Enjoy a delicious buffet with German food, beer-braised beef sandwiches, stew, drunken chicken, and more. There will also be a special keg of 100% Riggs Estate Barleywine especially for the celebration. Play fun games throughout the night.

 

Speakeasy New Year's Eve Celebration

Date: Saturday, December 31st

Time: 5:00 pm and 2:00 am

Location: Seven Saints (32 East Chester Street, Champaign)

Cost: FREE!

Step back in time as you look forward to 2017. Get dressed up in your most dapper gear to celebrate at a speakeasy themed party. Dine on delicious appetizers and featured cocktails as you celebrate.

NYE at Jupiter's at the Crossing

Date: Saturday, December 31st

Time: 7:00 pm - 1:00 am

Location: Jupiter’s at the Crossing (2511 Village Green Place, Champaign)

Cost: $60 per person (general admission), $90 per person (prime rib dinner package)

Come to the largest New Year’s Eve party in Champaign! There will be an open bar, pizza buffet, musical performance by 90’s Daughter, photo booth, party favors, and more. Cheers to 2017 with a champagne toast. Enjoy an after party with DJ Shane Canfield. Tickets can be purchased HERE.  

 

WCIA 3’s Champaign Toast to the New Year!

Date: Saturday, December 31st

Time: 10:00 pm

Location: Corner of Market and Main (Champaign)

Cost: FREE!

Celebrate with WCIA 3 for their New Year’s Eve Toast! There will be a two story bottle of champagne in downtown Champaign! Dance to live entertainment provided by Radio 6. This free event will help you ring in the New Year right!

Breakfast With Santa

Date: Saturday, December 10th

Time: 9:30 am - 11:00 am

Location: Douglass Community Center (512 East Grove Street, Champaign)

Holiday Showcase

Location: Allerton Park & Retreat Center (515 Old Timber Road, Monticello)

Come to the beautiful Allerton Mansion for a day of festivities. The mansion is decorated with holiday cheer. German Baroque Christmas

Time: 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Location: Holy Cross Catholic Church (405 West Clark Street, Champaign)

Cost: $20 per person, $10 per student

This great Champaign/Urbana tradition features a medley of favorite traditional holiday songs from Bach’s Christmas Oratorio and more classics. Join in the music with audience participation. The carols will be performed by the University High School Madrigals. Tickets can be purchased HERE.
